About FONS 

Friends of St Nicholas School (FONS) is the Parent Teacher Association for St Nicholas CE Primary School, a registered charity run entirely by parents and staff who volunteer their time to enrich the school experience for every child.

Our mission is simple: Raise funds that directly benefit students. These contributions help support:

• School Trips
• Additional Learning Equipment
• Workshops & Enrichment Activities
• Outdoor Play Areas & Green Spaces
• And many more opportunities that bring learning to life

Everyone in our school community - staff, pupils, parents and carers are automatically a member of FONS. We welcome all involvement, big or small.

A New Chapter for St Nicholas CE Primary School

School Transition 2026 marks an exciting milestone in the history of St Nicholas CE School. We’ve transitioned from an Infant School to a full Primary School and moved into a brand-new building.

With this fresh start comes a renewed vision for FONS. We’re relaunching the PTA with optimism, energy, and a commitment to creating meaningful experiences for every child whilst acknowledging all the incredible work and connections the PTA have developed up to this point.

Meet the FONS Committee

Co‑Chairs

• Alice — Mum to Ernie (Year 1) and Winston (future pupil). Passionate about providing enrichment opportunities for all children.
• Anna — Mum to Thea (Year 1) and Caspar (future pupil). Excited to work together to enhance every child’s school experience.

Treasurer

• Lisa — Mum to Amber (Year 1) and Zara (future pupil). Looking forward to supporting all the brilliant work FONS delivers.

Secretaries

• Jess — Mum to Dominic (Year 1) and Jasper (Reception). Excited to get involved and meet more of the school community.
• Sara — Mum to George (Reception). Thrilled to support the PTA and the school this year.

FONS Vision 

With a dedicated team and a brand‑new school environment, FONS is excited to share our long‑term vision. Over the coming years, our work will focus on three core values:

Volunteer Opportunities: There are so many ways to support FONS, whether you have five minutes or a full afternoon to spare.

• Share your Skills or Expertise to enhance our PTA
