Becoming The Best We Can Be

Remote Education

Remote Education

Remote education may be be needed in circumstances where it may not be possible for pupils to receive in person education. This may happen in the event of a school closure or when there may need to be a restriction on attendance due to government guidance. There could also be exceptional circumstances where a pupil is unable to attend school but is able to learn.

Attendance at school is a priority and we share in the government's view that it is essential for pupils to get the most out of their school experience, including for their attainment, wellbeing and wider life chances.

Any pupils who are absent from school will be marked as absent, even if they are accessing remote learning, in line with the School Attendance (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2024 and attendance guidance. We are always keen to work with pupils, parents and carers along with any other relevant partners to help ensure we remove any barriers to attendance.

The information shared below will support pupils to access learning remotely in the first instance. In the event of a school closure or part school closure, work will be shared on ClassDojo for pupils to access. In the event of there being individual circumstances leading to the need for remote education, this will be dealt with on a case by case basis to take into account the needs of the pupil.

Follow the weblink below to connect to ClassDojo so that you can keep up to date with the learning that is going on in school. If you need help connecting please don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher in the first instance. Alternatively, please call or email the school office and they will pass a message on to the teacher for you.
