Becoming the Best We Can Be

We welcome you on your journey to becoming the best you can be. We promise an inspiring start to your education where you can develop a love for learning whilst having fun and discovering new things about our world and the people in it. We will teach you how to live together, happily and confidently, just as God taught us. Our nurturing staff will offer top quality teaching to help you reach your potential and together we will celebrate your achievements and enable you to thrive in all aspects of your life.

"Shared values underpin the school’s ambitious vision of ‘becoming the best we can be’. Staff and pupils alike know that the goal is to keep doing everything better. Pupils strive to live up to adults’ high expectations."

Values

At St. Nicholas C.E. Infants’ School we uphold and nurture our

Christian ethos by encouraging the following six distinctively Christian values:

Respect      Friendship      Love

Forgiveness      Thankfulness   Perseverance

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin teaching and learning and provide an environment which prepares our pupils, helping them to become the best they can be.

Promoting British Values

In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.

The Key Values are:

·         democracy

·         rule of law

·         individual liberty

·         mutual respect

·         tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
