Uniform

How to order new uniform

 

School Uniform can be ordered online via the following website: http://stnicholas.makeitmine.co.uk

Make it Mine is a local company and they deliver free of charge in the local area.  Please let us know if you have any questions about our uniform requirements.  We have a selection of second-hand uniform available - please ask at the school office. 

Skirts, dresses, trousers, shorts, polo shirts and PE kits can be purchased from any retailer.  Sweatshirts and cardigans with the school logo are only available from Make It Mine, as detailed above.

Our school uniform is to be worn by all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

 

Uniform to choose from

  • School sweatshirt or cardigan, emerald green embroidered with the school logo OR school sweatshirt or cardigan, emerald green without the logo

 

  • White polo shirt

 

  • Dark grey skirt or pinafore OR dark grey or black trousers or shorts OR green and white checked summer dress

 

  • Plain grey, black or white socks or tights

 

  • Sensible shoes or trainers in a dark colour, preferably black. Please note that shoes should be entirely in a dark colour with no coloured laces, logos or other additions.  If trainers are worn, these should be smart and appropriate for school.  White trainers or shoes should not be worn.

 

  • Dark-coloured or white summer sandals may be worn but must be enclosed at the toe and heel.

 

P.E. Kit

  • Plain white t-shirt
  • Plain black, grey or navy shorts or tracksuit bottoms/joggers
  • Plain dark coloured or white trainers or plimsolls for outdoor P.E. sessions. (Please note children in Reception will not need footwear to bein with, staff will notify you when this will be required.)

 

Jewellery

On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery to school.  Children with pierced ears may wear plain studs which should be removed or taped for P.E. days.  

 

Hair

We request that long hair is tied back. Hair accessories should be small and plain. Hairstyles should be conventional and extremes are not permitted.

 

Weather Ready

Children should come to school with weather appropriate clothing, e.g. warm, waterproof coat / sunhat.

 

Mallards Nursery

For children attending our nursery, there is the option to wear an embroidered polo shirt and/or hoodie, however these are not compulsory.

 

We kindly request that ALL clothing and footwear is clearly labelled with your child’s name.
